A “Scrapwood Project” table.  Plans were downloaded from Fine Woodworking magazine on-line.  We would all like to have a pile of scrap wood as nice as this. Jim Mulligan “wowed” us with his version of a Laptop Computer Table that was featured in an article in Fine Woodworking.  It is made of Cherry, and the top is of Curley Cherry.  Jim explained how the front panel was hinged to gain access to the Laptop.  Jim used boiled linseed oil and Tung oil as a finish, and protects it with four coats of Spar Varnish.

Jamie's first attempt at carving a convex shell.  He chose Mahogany, which is easy to carve, and was the wood of choice for period furniture.
